MAY I HAVE YOUR PERMISSION?

Waiting for permission to progress or do something can be a little ingrained into our psyche. All through life, as a child, at school, our jobs, we wait to be given permission before we act. We wait for external validation. Without realising we wait for permission to act on anything and everything. A new job, a relationship, something entrepreneurial. It just becomes our way of life. Of course, if something has risk or consequence we may simply be second guessing, being cautious.
Look at the situation and consider, am I second guessing or am I really waiting for permission. You’re there, in the moment. There is nobody to discuss, consider or seek permission from. We look to others to seek permission or gain mutual accountability. But it’s you, as a person, a person who is out there looking for change and waiting on permission to act or progress
Life is not infinite. How long have we got? What is the difference between those who do and those who do not. The doers may have procrastinated, they may have considered the consequences but ultimately they are the ones who took the decision and no longer sought permission. They did it, they went from a not doer to a doer. So if you are in that situation where you are thinking, procrastinating, considering, maybe just now, give yourself permission. Give yourself permission to make the change. Acknowledge the patterns that have been engrained over years and held you back. Have some trust, some self belief and take action. How much longer have you got to wait? You no longer need permission. Give yourself permission.
